How it works:
Express Laundry provides 3 sizes of laundry plans; you choose your size and get the corresponding drawstring bag according to your needs. The plan sizes are described in the Get Started tab.  Choose your bag size and send an email with contact information. We will notify you about pick-up time at your location (dorm lobby or apartment). That's it, you are set to begin!! (We drop off your bag the first week of school, with at "Terms and Conditions" sheet inside that is to be returned the first week of pick-up.)

You fill the bag with laundry and have it ready for our pick-up on the designated day (Wednesdays at Millersville University, Mondays at Elizabethtown College) at the designated spot. Sometimes we meet someone in the parking lot. Other times we pick-up a bag inside the dorm lobby, inside an apartment door, on the doorstep, at a friend's apartment, or even meet you in a parking lot at your vehicle. You decide where is appropriate for us to get your laundry, and let us know.

We carefully sort your clothing, paying close attention to care labels, and we pre-spot any stains we see. If you are aware of a garment that has a stain and needs special attention, it is important to send a note along to let us know.  Since the bag is washed with the clothing, we put the folded clothing back in your drawstring bag. We use Tide liquid detergent and Bounce dryer sheets, unless you specify unscented detergent or dryer sheets, or a different brand.




FAQ:
1. How do you keep my laundry from getting mixed up with other people's laundry?
A:  We launder your clothing SEPARATELY from other people's clothing. We handle one customer's laundry at a time.

2. Do you lose items?
A: While no one is perfect, clothing is typically not lost since we check all machines after removing items, to be sure nothing is stuck in the machine.

3. What if I have certain preferences on detergent.
A: No problem. Tell us when you sign up, and we will note it on your bag tag. We have several other options besides Tide and Bounce.

4. How do you make sure clothing does not shrink?
A: All clothing is dried on medium or low temps in the dryer, according to manufacturer's directions on the tag.

5. What if I want to sign up part way through the semester?
A: No problem. We will assist you by email or phone. We figure out how many remaining weeks of laundry service there are for your school, and create your plan for you based on the Size of Plan (amount of laundry) you plan to send.

6. Can I send items that cannot be put in the dryer?
A: We can accommodate an occasional item, like one sweater that needs to be air dried. And we will gladly hang up your items to air dry on hangers if you prefer--PLEASE send your own hangers. Just remember that these items may be damp when we return them to you.

7. Can you hang some of my items instead of folding them?
A: Absolutely. Tell us which items you want on hangers, and don't forget to send your hangers along.
